The M2000 load moment indicator never requires re-calibration except when the cable is changed out.
The M2000 infers tension from the frequency of vibration of a span of the winch line. A boom mounted Exciter/Sensor/Assembly initiates and maintains vibration and outputs an analog of the vibration. A boom mounted inclinometer monitors the boom angle. A signal Processor Unit mounted in the crane cab computes the winch line tension and the total hook load. It calculates the boom angle and derives the load radius. It looks up the rated load for the radius measured, displays the rated load, the hook load and the percentage of rated load. It provides three programmable levels of alarms, both aural and visual.
